Labyrinths & Mindful Birding

  • St Thomas Spiritual Center 301 Saint Thomas Road Lancaster, PA, 17601 United States (map)

Join this workshop where the contemplative practices of labyrinth walking, birdwatching, and forest bathing are weaved together in a complementary way. Sure to stretch your imagination and quench your need for nature-based awareness, and the wholeness this union offers.

This workshop is appropriate for those new to these practices as well as those who are seasoned. Spiritual practitioners, clergy, social workers, Hospice caretakers, artists, and pilgrims will benefit from learning new ways of being with nature such as establishing a sit spot for watching, waiting, and witnessing. Enjoy metaphor and the spiritual meaning of some of our popular birds while spotting them from the labyrinth. Expect to learn about these three practices, experience them live, and take home tools and materials to continue your exploration.

Presenters Carmel Stabley, certified labyrinth educator, and Holly Merker, award-winning author, Mindful Birding leader, and certified nature and forest therapy guide, together with the St. Thomas Spiritual Center will host you.
