Join Red Rock Audubon Society's Alex Harper and Morrigan DeVito for a Zoom lecture on the connection between nature and mental health. How much time do you spend outside every day? Have you noticed your mood change after being in nature? Inspired by the work of the Mindful Birding Network and using the most recent research studies, we will explain some of the ways that spending time mindfully in nature can impact your overall wellbeing. We will provide you with tools to help shift your awareness when out in nature, such as guiding prompts and ways to stay grounded. Touching on birdsong, plants, and even fractal patterns in our desert landscape, we invite you to explore the many ways that nature nourishes us.
