Introduction to Mindful Birding - Mesilla Valley Audubon Society

  • Sagecrest Park 601 Roadrunner Parkway Las Cruces, NM, 88011 United States (map)

Led by Holly Thomas with Mesilla Valley Audubon Society

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico

Mindful birding is about the intention to focus on the present moment without judgement, just noticing and welcoming whatever shows up (or doesn’t show up). Our leader, Holly Thomas, Ph. D., will share some of the health benefits of mindful birding and lead the grouop on a birding walk around Sagecrest Park. This walk is a preview of a multi-part workshop.

This field trip may be for you if:

You are curious about mindfulness practices

You are open to exploring a birding area without a specific agenda

You are interested in a less target-oriented style of birding

Hope to see you there!
