About the Event
This event is offered by Red Rock Audubon in Southern Nevada.
Come de-stress and enjoy nature at Cornerstone Park this evening! We will go on a slow walk and have a sit spot to observe the birds in the pond. We will do some mindfulness exercises to bring awareness to the moment, engage the senses, and let our thoughts pass without judgement. Mindfulness helps us be in the moment rather than focusing on the past or future. In nature, mindfulness allows us to fully engage our senses (sight, sound, touch) and fine tune our observation skills. All are welcome at this event, as mindfulness is helpful for all birding skill-levels and ages! We will also learn about the bird species we see and the natural history of Cornerstone Park.
Don’t forget your binoculars if you have them!
