Please join 18 Springs & Forsyth Audubon in a unique adventure. We'll be connecting with the nature spaces around us, learning about birds, and grounding ourselves through movement and meditation. Dr. LaShanda Brown will be leading us in a mindfulness practice that will help us wake up our senses to the world around us and local birder Hannah Addair will be providing a brief introduction to birding for beginners.
All are welcome for a chance to breathe, relax, and be present in the joys of the great outdoors. Forsyth Audubon has provided funds to support scholarships to Mindful Birding Events. Please bring a chair, a blanket, binoculars if you have them, and we will also have some extra chairs if needed.
This is a family friendly and accessible outing. Quarry Park has a lot of grassy areas and a fully paved trail with some flat and hilly areas. There are bathrooms on site that are accessible.
