About the Event
Come de-stress and enjoy nature at the Pittman Wash this evening with Red Rock Audubon Society! We will go on a slow walk and have a sit spot to observe the birds in the pond. We will do some mindfulness exercises to bring awareness to the moment, engage the senses, and let our thoughts pass without judgement. Mindfulness helps us be in the moment rather than focusing on the past or future. In nature, mindfulness allows us to fully engage our senses (sight, sound, touch) and fine tune our observation skills. All are welcome at this event, as mindfulness is helpful for all birding skill-levels and ages! We will also learn about the bird species we see and the natural history of the Pittman Wash.
Don’t forget your binoculars if you have them!
