Slow Birding at the Extension Botanical Gardens

Enjoy the Botanical Garden and learn about plants that grow well in Southern Nevada home gardens that attract birds. Enjoy a sensory experience in the garden while learning what birds commonly reside in local home gardens and perhaps view a few nonresident birds on their fall migration. This event is ideal for persons with limited mobility, new to birding or those who want to experience nature at a slower pace. a Donation of $5.00 per donation is suggested, but you can donate as much as you want.

Slow bird walks will be offered in the Extension Botanical Garden (Cooperative Extension Gardens) on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. Register here!. Participation is limited.

The Botanical Garden is located at 8050 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89123. Map link here. The walks will begin in the main area of the botanical garden at the northern edge of the campus, just behind the main building. Look for the chain link fence and the gate. The walk will begin in the Pollinator Pavilion.
